Jeff Betsill Homes, Inc. is pleased to announce a public open house at Summit Point Subdivision.

August 2008 – This open house will present our new pricing, as well as free food. Registration for free gifts will also be available. August 27, 2008 - 11am EST to 1:30pm EST.

We are pleased to announce that homes originally priced in the 270’s are now being offered in the 240’s. We have worked diligently to reduce overall cost to the purchaser. The subdivision is nestled in a prime location for access to Atlanta, Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, Fayetteville, Peachtree City and Newnan. Low maintenance homes and ease of access to shopping means more time for the Owner to relax and enjoy hobbies and family. Upon completion, the subdivision will also include a children's play area with equipment and picnic areas."

"We have taken time to truly research the buyers needs with this product and location. We believe that taking the extra time to understand what the buyer wants and needs is the key," stated Jeff Betsill. "The quality in every home we construct comes standard. With our reduction in price we keep the quality and adjust our margins. Additionally, we have worked alongside our subcontractors and supplier to reduce overall cost. Everyone involved understands the necessity to reduce labor and material cost. We have also kept an employee team intact that will allow us to continue with the same customer service that we are renowned for. We understand there are re-sales on the market in our area, however, we believe that the resales available do not compete with our location and product offering. New homes in our price range, features and location are virtually nonexistent in this market. A side by side comparison of our product, features and pricing will reveal that this is the best new home product offering, feature for feature and price for price, in Fayette County. We hope that you will come out to view our homes on August 27, 2008."

Circle 75 The Towns of Cresent Park and they lived happily ever after
August 2008 – When Anthea Drew and Miles Mazzawi purchased their new townhome they saw it as an investment in the future. What Drew didn't know was that Mazzawi had plans to solidify their future together. They closed on their townhome on May 2. Later that night, Drew and Massawi were happily painting their master bedroom when Mazzawi left to run an errend. Drew heard the doorbell ring about an hour later, and when she opened the door she saw Mazzawi, wearing a tie and jacket and carrying a dozen, beautiful red roses. Tears of joy filled Drew’s eyes as Mazzawi dropped to one knee to ask for her hand in marriage on the threshhold of what will be the couple’s first home together.

Drew, 30, and Mazzawi, 33, are both dentists. They met in a class they both attended 8 years ago and have been friends ever since. They have been dating for the past two years and opened a successful pediatratric practice, Cherokee Children’s Dentistry, about two years ago. They saw The Towns of Crescent Park and knew that this would be perfect for their first home together.

“We spent several months looking for a place to purchase as a couple, and as soon as we saw this community we knew we were home,” said Mazzawi. “I had this proposal planned before we even started looking for a home. It just seemed so perfect to ask her to spend the rest of her life with me as we entered this new chapter of our lives together.”

“I was so surprised! He looked so handsome, and I was covered in paint,” laughed Drew. “I knew he was the one for me, and I was confident in our decision to buy at The Towns of Crescent Park, but this was just the icing on the cake!”

The couple, like many others, chose The Towns of Crescent Park because it is a thriving Live/Work/Play community. It's location in Cobb County in Circle 75, means that they will have lower property taxes, but still have an Atlanta address.

Exclusive sales and marketing is provided by Morris & Raper. Interested homebuyers may contact Michelle Legan or Lori Clezie at 404-446-0075 for more information or click here.

Homes originally priced in the 280’s are now being offered in the 250’s, with other choices available up to the mid 300’s. The subdivision has always offered great price, location and amenities. But with this price reduction, this development offers unsurpassed value for today’s homebuyer.

"Taking the extra time to really understand what the buyer wants and needs is the key," stated Jason Betsill, (a third generation homebuilder). "We are lowering only the prices, never the quality. We understand the significant market correction that has occurred and we have taken measures to ensure purchasers that they are not overpaying for our homes. We have worked with the subcontractors to get pricing down and we have additionally taken reductions in our margins. Our warranty is still in place as always and the quality never changes. There are other locations in our area that are in this same price range. However, they do not offer the amenities, location, and standard features we are offering at this price. We believe a side by side comparison of our features, location, quality and pricing will show that this is the best deal in Coweta County for new construction. Any questions can be directed to info@jeffbetsillhomes.com or click here for more information.

Mark Carruth Brings Diverse Background to Active Adult Market
Windsong PropertiesJUNE 2008 - As a third generation homebuilder, Mark Carruth has been building homes since the age of 16. In college, Carruth pursued a medical career briefly, but as a junior decided his passion was building homes. Carruth graduated from the University of Georgia with a Business Degree with an emphasis in real estate. After college, Carruth worked in the Macon and Atlanta residential and commercial markets before starting his first company, Loren Construction. Carruth now brings that diverse background to the active adult market at Windsong Properties, which he founded with Steve Romeyn to meet a demand fueled by the baby boomers and the change in demographics.

Windsong is Carruth’s fourth company and is his first company focused solely on the active adult market. Carruth relates to the active adult as an empty nester himself, and he uses that personal experience and merged it with his building experience.

“Building for the active adult market is just as much about building a lifestyle as it is building the actual home,” said Carruth. “People go through a lot of changes in their fifties. Whether it is career-related, family-related or health-related, Windsong allows active adults to live a lower-maintenance lifestyle in a community of like-minded people.”

Windsong pays attention to the details that make living simple for the active adult. Homes are single-level, have no steps, are EasyLiving certified and have wider openings creating wheelchair accessibility. The homes are smaller, but the individual rooms are more spacious.

After 30 years of building homes, Carruth still enjoys the process and works hard to make it enjoyable for his clients as well. “Clients are excited about the custom building process, but have reservations because they have heard so many horror stories about the homebuilding process,” said Carruth. “I just want the process to be fun. You do not want your client to be worn out or stressed; and you want the results to be positive.”

When he’s not building homes, Carruth enjoys playing golf, boating or traveling to his second home on Hilton Head Island. Carruth is also actively involved with Habitat for Humanity and the Greater Atlanta Home Builder’s Association. For more information, call 770-516-3409 or click here.

Brock Built Builds a Better Community
Brock BuiltJune 2008 – Atlanta’s largest intown homebuilder, Brock Built, is partnering with WSB-TV Channel 2 in the “Going Green 2008” campaign, an important program addressing an issue that is changing the quality of life of every citizen in Georgia. As part of that effort, Brock Built has started construction on an environmentally-friendly demonstration home in its Atlanta West Highlands Community. When complete, the new home will be open for tours and auctioned to the highest bidder with all proceeds going to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Groundbreaking for The Green House began in March and work is progressing quickly. When complete, the home will showcase environmentally friendly and sustainable design features attainable for the typical Atlanta family. Contributions are being solicited for funds, services, building materials, fixtures, appliances and everything else necessary to build the home. All participating vendors are required to demonstrate that their contribution will promote EarthCraft standards.

The EarthCraft program is a voluntary green building program which serves as a blueprint for healthy, comfortable homes that reduce utility bills and protect the environment. EarthCraft homes are thoroughly inspected and tested (for factors such as air leakage and carbon monoxide safety) before the homeowner moves in. They are proven to help save energy and water and conserve natural resources. They are more affordable because they help homeowners lower energy costs by up to 30%, lower maintenance and repair costs, and even lower doctor’s bills for health problems related to poor indoor air quality.

Construction on The Green House is expected to be complete in August, when the public will be invited to tour the home. WSB –TV will film the entire building process and will run a special one-hour prime time program in September telling the story of the innovative partnership behind the home’s creation, as well as the remarkable transformation of the larger West Highlands community.

The Green House will be auctioned off to the highest bidder in October 2008. All proceeds from the sale will be given to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, a not-for-profit organization that provides care, research, teaching, wellness and charity care for the children of Atlanta.

Haven Properties offers new 2 Year Energy Usage Guarantee
May 2008 – Haven Properties, the award-winning builder of EarthCraft and Energy Star certified luxury homes, is now offering a 2 Year Energy Usage Guarantee on every new home. The company will actually pay the difference in energy costs if you use more electricity and natural gas than they think you will during your first two years as a Haven Properties homeowner.

Haven Properties New Homes“We’re putting our money where our mouth is,” said Haven Properties President Mike Baptist. “Our technologically advanced approach to construction guarantees that our homes will use energy efficiently. Not only that, it also makes our homes healthier and more comfortable to live in. Buyers won’t be disappointed.”

Haven applies energy modeling calculations for each home through residential energy analysis software. The model takes into account the home’s dimensions, its position and components of its construction to predict the number of kWH and Therms it will use. At closing, the homeowner receives a certificate outlining their home’s floorplan and its estimated usage. The homeowner sends Haven monthly copies of gas and electric bills, which are reviewed and tallied for annual usage at the end of 12 and 24 months. At those times, Haven pays any overages by multiplying them by the cost per kWH and Therms as stated on the bills.

Haven Properties builds in Cherokee, Cobb, Dawson, Douglas, Forsyth and South Fulton counties with price ranges from the high $300,000s to the $700,000s. For more information on Haven Properties, call 770-752-0919 or click here.

Woodbridge Crossing is located in the Concord Covered Bridge Historic Area of Smyrna. The community features single-family courtyard and garden homes priced from the low $400,000s to the $500,000s.

“The dedication of the new bridge at Woodbridge Crossing was a success,” said Ginny Bryant, Director of Marketing for The Providence Group. “We were honored to have so many special guests attend, including Mayor Max Bacon, City Council Representative Pete Wood, Harold Smith with the Smyrna Historical Society and Titus Edwards a representative from York Bridge Concepts, the company that designed and built our one-of-a-kind bridge at Woodbridge Crossing. It was a delight to see the mayor’s face when we unveiled the plaque announcing that the bridge was named after him. We hope this bridge will be a joy to residents of the community and Smyrna for many years to follow.”

During the event, guests were invited to tour the model homes and clubhouse at the community and were treated to a catered lunch by Carolyn’s Gourmet Café. Numerous prizes were given away throughout the day, including a custom pub bar, bar stools, and four teak lounge chairs donated by Towne Lake Heating and Air, a flat screen TV, spa gift certificates, gift certificates to local restaurants Atkins Park and McCray’s Tavern, gym memberships with a personal trainer, and $1,500 in cash.

Designed exclusively for the property, York Bridge Concepts built the bridge at Woodbridge Crossing. The double lane bridge crossing over Nickajack Creek, was built to withstand the rigors of modern-day traffic. However, the look of the covered bridge adds a touch of nostalgia to the community and preserves the history of the land upon which it is built. For more information on York Bridge Concepts you can visit them at ybc.com.

The homes at Woodbridge Crossing range in size from 2,500 to 3,500 square feet, and offer elegant exteriors featuring traditional brick, siding and stone which blend with the carriage-style garage doors. In addition, all homes incorporate a variety of interior designer features, such as gourmet kitchens with granite countertops, tile backsplashes, custom cabinets and stainless steel appliances including double ovens; large master suites with luxurious baths including garden tubs and walk-in showers; vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, detailed trim and eight-foot doors throughout the main levels; and wrought-iron stair balusters.

Homeowners at Woodbridge Crossing’s gated community also enjoy an array of fabulous amenities including a swimming pool, clubhouse with full kitchen, outdoor seating area, outdoor fireplace, and the beautiful York covered bridge over Nickajack Creek.
